About the Role
As a Security Operations Director, you will be responsible for overseeing our security operations team and ensuring that we are providing the highest level of cybersecurity services to our clients. You will lead our team of security professionals and work closely with other departments to implement strategies that improve the overall security posture of our organization.
What you will do.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement security policies and procedures that are in line with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Lead the security operations team to ensure that all security incidents are handled promptly and efficiently.
Work closely with the sales team to identify new business opportunities and develop proposals that address the unique security needs of potential clients.
Collaborate with other departments, including IT and engineering, to develop and implement security controls that mitigate risk and protect our clients' assets.
Manage and monitor security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
Provide guidance and support to our clients' security teams and ensure that they have the resources they need to effectively manage their security operations.
Monitor emerging security threats and trends and adjust our security strategy as needed to ensure that we stay ahead of potential threats.
What we are looking for.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, including experience leading security operations teams.
In-depth knowledge of security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and SIEM systems.
Strong understanding of security frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO, and CIS.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other departments and senior management.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively in a remote environment.
Professional security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are preferred.
